Behind the scenes: A Ride for a Cure photo shoot

We recently helped out the boys behind Ride for a Cure - who needed some fresh content to share with media, sponsors and on  social platforms. We called in very talented Abbie Melle Photography for a late afternoon shoot in NSW's Goulburn - and the results are really special.

The RIDE FOR A CURE STORY: Four talented boys from the bush are taking to Mongolia on horseback, to take on MS.

Brothers Jack, Ed and Rob Archibald, and their cousin Henry Bell will compete in the
eighth annual Mongol Derby, the world’s longest horse race. The equestrian endurance race extends 1000 km through the Mongolian Steppe and runs from the 5th August - 18th August, 2018.

The #bringinguscloser  and #kissgoodbyetoMS campaigns are about connecting people affected by MS with those involved in MS research, including scientists, students, nurses, fundraisers, volunteers, and more.

Ed Archibald says that by participating in the event, he and his team are working as part
of a global MS community to find ways to improve life with MS now and end MS forever.

“We’re going to ride across a country we've never been to, competing in an event
that very few people have even heard of, let alone can comprehend,” Ed says.

Their reason for participating and fundraising is personal.

“Our uncle, and Henry’s father Rob, suffers from Primary Progressive MS and is wheelchair bound. When Rob was younger, he dreamt of doing a safari on horseback. He is no longer able to fulfill this dream.

“Every day, Rob struggles with the simplest of tasks. Driving is impossible, brushing
his teeth is a chore. Despite this his determination and positivity are truly astounding. We are riding for him,” Ed explained. The team has set a high target for their challenge.

“We are aiming to raise $100,000 for MS Australia to help fund research projects trying to determine a cure for MS. That's $100 per km of the race,” Ed explained.

Land Rovers and Paddocks

With the help of The Flower Drum (insta: @theflowerdrum) we recently turned this vintage Land Rover into a mobile beer bar for a country wedding. Combing a bunch of our favourite things, it just makes us happy.
